Secaucus’ win advances it to the semifinal round where it will clash with the winner of Monday’s matchup between 10th-seeded McNair and second-seeded Hudson Catholic. Pozo’s 20 points were a career-high and made her one of three players to score in double figures for Secaucus, which trailed 47-38 heading into the final eight minutes. Ava Illuzzi paced Secaucus with six assists and three steals while also tallying 16 points and and seven boards. Gianna Torrillo scored 12 points, 10 of which came as part of the fourth-quarter comeback, and Ava D’Addetta tacked on nine more for Secaucus . Makayla David led all players with a 23-point effort while Mariel Ruiz was close behind with 17 points for Kearny .
