Dive back into the satisfying world of virtual cleaning with the newly announced PowerWash Simulator 2, which brings new locations to de-grime and exciting new features. The first game placed the virtual power washer into the hands of players who got to experience the therapeutic effects of methodically blasting dirt and grime off houses, skate parks, airplanes, and much more.
Now FuturLab is back to announce a sequel with a trailer that promises even more satisfying content coming in PowerWash Simulator 2. The followup title to the hit zen cleaning title will have a new campaign to play through, complete with new locations to clean, tools to play with, and a home base to decorate. And, for the first time, players will be able to share the experience with a friend through online or local split-screen co-op. PowerWash Simulator 2 will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in late 2025, with more information to be revealed in April. Everything Confirmed For PowerWash Simulator 2 Colorful New Locations, Split-Screen, A Home Base, And More Close PowerWash Simulator 2 will have plenty of new locations and odd structures that look incredibly fun to clean up. Several quality-of-life upgrades will ensure that nothing gets in the way of"the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean," which Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab, says was the whole point of the original game. The upcoming game will include the following features: The upcoming game promises the same zen experience as the first title, a cozy gaming experience which was played by over 17 million players. According to Chequer, the team at FuturLab is"really excited to see players dust off their power washers and get stuck into this brand-new campaign, that brings you even more to clean, and even more ways to release the pressure.” More details will be shared in April, when FuturLab will"dish the dirt" on more new features coming to PowerWash Simulator 2. PowerWash Simulator 2 Will Also Include A Surprising Amount Of Lore There's Lore Hidden Between The Gnomes I'm excited to sink even more hours into the therapeutic practice of digital power washing, but I also have to mention the elephant — or rather, the gnome — in the room. The trailer stars some garden gnomes that many fans will recognize from the first game. These little red-hat-wearing statuettes were hidden around the first game's various locations, having no function except to be silly Easter eggs that you could blast with your power washer. Related PowerWash Simulator: How To Play With Friends Now players can join together in multiplayer to tackle jobs and wash away grime in PowerWash Simulator's cross-platform play mode. Posts The gnomes' strong presence in the trailer suggests that FuturLab is embracing the absurd even more with the upcoming game. As players wash away caked-on grime, they may just uncover some hidden lore and resolve more of the mysteries of the game's fictional town of Muckingham. Between the free Muckingham Files updates to the first game and the mysteries uncovered three years ago by The Game Theorists, there's certain to be more than meets the eye in PowerWash Simulator 2. What role will the gnomes play this time? Will the mayor ever find his cat? Maybe we'll get to find out the answers to these surprisingly pressing questions in the upcoming virtual cleaning simulator.Simulation Systems OpenCritic Reviews Top Critic Rating: 77/100 Critics Recommend: 75% Released May 19, 2021 ESRB E For Everyone Developer FuturLab Publisher FuturLab
