According to the California Lottery, the winning ticket worth up to $1 billion was sold at Las Palmitas Mini Market on Wall Street inIn addition to the grand prize winner, there are seven tickets sold in California that are worth up to $448,750 each. Those tickets matched five of the winning numbers, lottery officials said.
According to Powerball's website, those electing to take the annuity option are guaranteed to get 30 gradual payments over a 29-year period.
