Red Power Ranger Austin St. John arrested for $3.5million Covid payment scam headed up by ringleader nicknamed 'Tank'
Jason Lawrence Geiger, 47, played the red Power Ranger in the TV series and film under the stage name Austin St. John. The Texan actor was among 19 people charged in the scheme, which resulted in at least 16 fraudulent COVID-relief loans totaling $3.5 million.
Geiger was arrested on Tuesday and remains behind bars until a court hearing in Plano on Monday. The ring was led by Michael Hill, 'Tank,' 47, and Andrew Moran, 43, who recruited others to use 'an existing business or create a business' to apply for cash. If convicted, each of the accused could face up to 20 years in federal prison
