Daniel Farke is yet to settle on a consistent attacking midfield option this season
Leeds United will go through the first half of the season without a specialist number 10. The Whites were linked to a number of players over the course of the summer but decided against adding to their ranks in that position.
That is where he played his best stuff at Swansea City and it makes sense to play him where he’s going to make the biggest impact. However, he does have experience in the hole and he could be asked to drop in against certain opponents down the line. He has the technical ability, skill and eye for a pass and having looked the part while playing more advanced roles in the U21s, it might just suit his game.
As such, with the deadline day addition of Jaidon Anthony, who has spent most of his career on the left, to consider, it seems moving Gnonto in a central position could be something that makes sense. It could be a position he thrives in, too, given his ability to pick passes and the time he would spend in front of goal.
