The witness testified that she started getting nervous and scared, and was vomiting “because she got this feeling” that “he was the one who was murdering.” Peña said that she ran to the front of the store where she encountered DPS Trooper Francisco Hernandez, who was fueling his patrol vehicle.

Perez also brought up the fact that Peña said she is now taking methadone and asked her if she knew what it was for.
