Dr. Ryan Dhindsa’s lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on an NIH-funded project. The Dhindsa Lab integrates human genomics, single-cell multi-omics, and stem cell models to advance precision medicine.

We place a particular emphasis on understanding mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders and other brain illnesses to identify more effective and targeted therapies. We apply cutting-edge technologies in our research and are dedicated to mentoring the next generation of scientists. The postdoctoral fellow will lead innovative research projects focused on studying the molecular convergence of neurodevelopmental disease, including autism, intellectual disability, and epilepsy.

It is likely that many of these genes converge on shared downstream pathways, the identification of which could dramatically accelerate drug discovery. To identify these pathways, the postdoctoral fellow will use human iPSC-derived neurons and cutting-edge approaches, including single-cell RNA-sequencing , chromatin profiling, and electrophysiology assays.Plans and conducts experiments, analyzes data, and prepares publications describing results.
