Singer Post Malone is teaming up with filmmaker Michael Bay and publisher Vault Comics to bring his graphic novel idea to life. The comic, written by Malone and Adrian Wassel, will be illustrated by Nathan Gooden and is set to be released later this year. To generate buzz, Vault will release the first chapter exclusively at local comic shops on Free Comic Book Day 2025. The story follows an excommunicated priest, known as Trucker, who uses a demon-slaying machine to fight hordes from Hell invading Europe during the Dark Ages.

“This is going to kick ass,” said Malone in a statement. “It’s amazing working with Vault and Michael Bay. Turning this idea into what we have has been unbelievable. The team has been crushing it, and I can’t believe we get to be a part of Free Comic Book Day.” The publisher was already working on comics with such acts as Def Leppard and Metallica and wanted to find a contemporary artist.Added the executive, who is the brother of writer Adrian Wassel: “He told us ‘I have this idea that I‘ve been trying to see if this would be a cool graphic novel.’ We flew to LA and met with Post. And it sounds like a cliché, but it was a creative match made in heaven.

“I love the art, attitude and characters,” stated Bay. “Also I am excited to work with Post Malone and have our creative worlds collide.”
