However, should Norway and Georgia draw when they meet on Tuesday, Porteous and Scotland will qualify immediately.The Watford defender netted Scotland’s second goal in Larnaca after 16 minutes, hammering the ball home after Jack Hendry had knocked down Andy Robertson’s free kick. Porteous and Scotland are next in action on Tuesday when they host England in a friendly at Hampden Park.
However he conceded a goal after only three minutes when his attempt to control defender Kevin Danso’s back pass with his head eight yards outside the penalty area went wrong and Moldova’s Vitalie Damascan stole the ball before planting it into the empty net.
