Portage’s Salute to Labor Picnic at Founder’s Square Saturday afternoon featured a swing suspended from a crane, a climbing wall, toy cars and much more.

They also had a little track where littler kids could drive a tiny motorized tow truck with a tiny car attached. It wasn’t necessarily a recruiting tool for the business, but Wright jokingly asked if one of the kids could start this week.Anni Bartok laughed at the faces her son Joey Brazeau’s buddy, Braxton Homan, 11, made as he caught air on the swing. It doesn’t look super-high from the ground, Braxton said, but when you’re up there 50, 60 feet off the ground, it’s a different story.
