Porsche is prepping a facelift for the Cayenne Coupe, borrowing styling cues from the 992-generation 911. This updated version is expected to launch in 2026, alongside the first electric Cayenne.
Porsche ’s facelifted Cayenne Coupe has been snapped by spy photographers. The ICE Cayenne was facelifted for 2024 but will now borrow cues from the 992 sports car. This tweaked Coupe should be on sale in 2026, the same time as the first electric Cayenne . We kicked off our Porsche scoop stories for 2025 with a look at the upcoming electric Cayenne , but a new set of spy shots proves Porsche is also giving the combustion version of the SUV some attention.
It only seems like five minutes since the ICE Cayenne had a fairly significant overhaul designed to keep it feeling fresh for most of the rest of the decade. Porsche introduced some subtle design changes in 2023 for the 2024 model year, and some not-so-subtle ones under the skin, including the welcome return of V8 power for the Cayenne S. First, they’ll help maintain interest in Porsche’s most popular model, despite the basic design dating back to 2017. And second, they’ll help give it a visual connection to two other important Porsche cars, the new 992-generation 911 and the upcoming electric Cayenne built on VW’s PPE electric platform. Ignore the horizontal bumper vanes and the pod foglights beneath the front side marker lights, which are both just part of the disguise. Instead, focus on the vertical slats under each headlight, which are just like active flaps on the new 992 GTS T-hybrid. The images only show a prototype of the facelifted Cayenne Coupe, though you can be sure that the exact same styling changes will find their way onto ICE-powered Cayennes with the more practical square-back body shape. And though these photos don’t show any changes at the rear that’s probably only because we’re still at least a year from the SUV going on sale. When it does arrive don’t be surprised to see an illuminated Porsche script on the rear hatc
