Academy Sports is expanding with new stories across the country this fall, including a new location in Cullman. The company plans to open 20 new locations nationwide this year, including stores in Georgia , Indiana, Texas, and Tennessee.
“We’re excited to continue bringing the Academy experience to even more communities across the country this fall,” said Eric Friederich, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations at Academy Sports + Outdoors.People are also reading… Each store will hire new employees, the company said in a press release Thursday. The Cullman store will have a grand opening with prizes, a ceremony, deals and giveaways. The company says it will give to charities in cities where it operates. The store sells outdoor apparel, camping gear, hunting and fishing and other sporting equipment. The stores offer free bike and grill assembly and sell hunting and fishing licenses, the company said.
