In the post Timberlake states that he was diagnosed with Lyme while on tour and was shocked after the diagnosis.“If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has — then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically,” Timberlake said. The disease caused Timberlake to consider ending the tour but the singer said he decided to continue fighting through whatever “stress” he faced due to his illness. “I was faced with a personal decision,” Timberlake said. “Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I’m so glad I kept going.“ Lyme disease is transmitted by black-legged deer-ticks and if not treated properly can lead to more serious issues like arthritis and heart issues., about 476,000 people are diagnosed and treated for Lyme in the U.S. every year. Timberlake is a legendary pop singer known for his time as part of the 90s boy group, NSYNC.
