The Dominican superstar posted a message on his Instagram account on Wednesday in tribute to his grandmother, who passed away on Jan. 4. Alfa, 34 , expressed his sadness while also revealing he will be temporarily stepping away from social media.
“I know that life goes on, but my feelings do not go unnoticed,” Alfa wrote. “My grandmother taught me to love God above all things, so I will mourn in her memory. Her happiness was to see me succeed, but I can’t even stay awake. Alfa also expressed regret for not spending more time with his grandmother: “I wanted to spend time with her, but my work didn’t allow it.” He announced his retirement.
“The days of my retirement are getting shorter,” Alfa noted. “ON DECEMBER 18TH OF THIS YEAR, I WILL NEVER SING AGAIN… rest in peace, Grandma.
