One of Australia's most renowned dairy producers has recalled two flavoured yoghurt varieties after contamination from intestinal bacteria E.coli was identified.
Jalna Dairy Foods issued the notice on Monday after identifying contamination from dangerous bacteria Escherichia coli, commonly known as E.coli.
The products being recalled are the Jalna Lactose Free Vanilla and Jalna Sweet and Creamy Greek Coconut yoghurts.Both affected yoghurts come in the 1kg tub sizes. Food Standards Australia and New Zealand have warned consumers of a severe threat of illness if the products are consumed and urging them to immediately hand it back to their store of purchase.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice. and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the FSANZ warning reads.
