The Sandcastle Resort Condominiums is celebrating its grand reopening on Saturday.
Popular Port Aransas spot, Sandcastle Resort Condominiums, is hosting a grand reopening party on Saturday.One of Port Aransas's most popular resorts has reopened after it was heavily damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and forced to close for 4 1/2 years.
The Sandcastle Resort Condominiums is welcoming back visitors on Saturday with live music by the pool, food and, of course, ice-cold margaritas. The resort suffered major damage when Hurricane Harvey made landfall in August 2017, including collapsed walls and elevators that had fallen. Each rental had to be individually repaired and, because each room is different on the inside, construction took longer than expected, the resort said.The resort boasts that it is the only condo complex in town located on the beach.
Guests seem to be thrilled that the resort is back in operation. The resort said 100 of the 180 units were booked immediately after the reopening announcement was made.
