The wait is finally over for console users: Poppy Playtime: Chapter 4 will be launching on consoles soon. The fourth chapter in the mascot horror adventure by Mob Entertainment arrived on PC on January 30 this year, but series fans who use a console were out of luck.
Console users will soon be able to return to the creepy Playtime Co. headquarters and continue the story behind the horrors that took place there. Chapter 4 of the Poppy Playtime episodic horror title, called Safe Haven, will be released on June 25 on the PlayStation 4 and 3, Xbox One and Series S|X, and the Switch , according to Gematsu. The company released an accompanying console release trailer, which shows the player exploring the company, meeting Doey, Yarnaby, and a few other familiar faces. A shot of Yarnaby reuniting with the Doctor is earning particular praise from fans as they prepare to experience the horrors of the fourth chapter when it arrives on consoles later this month. Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Offers More Questions Than Answers Make Some New Friends... And Enemies Close Console gamers can now finally catch up on the latest chapter, which has been out on PC for a few months. The fourth chapter of the highly successful Poppy Playtime series takes players further down into the Playtime Co. factory, to the previously unexplored bowels of the structure. Players are joined by Poppy herself as the two leave Kissy Missy behind and head out to uncover more of the company's twisted lore. The chapter takes players one more step toward understanding the motivations behind the Prototype and the Doctor. Ultimately, though, the chapter leaves players with more questions than answers, as Mob Entertainment sets the series up for its fifth chapter. Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 Is A Divisive Entry The Chapter Was A Buggy Mess, According To Reviews Close Poppy Playtime started as a debut project from an indie studio and has grown into a vital and beloved franchise. Chapter 4: Safe Haven is a divisive entry into the series, though, currently sitting at a"Mixed" rating on Steam. Fans love the story but criticize the latest chapter for being full of game-breaking bugs that make the chapter"undoubtedly one of the worst gaming experiences I've had the past year," as Steam user Meon1845 puts it. Almost exactly a full year passed between Chapter 3 and 4, so fans were understandably expecting the experience to reflect this. As the game's scope increases, it seems that Mob Entertainment may want to spend a bit more time between chapters polishing the gaming and cleaning up the bugs before releasing it to the fans.
