People in Nottingham have reacted to plans for well-known chain Popeyes to extend its opening hours into the early hours of the morning. Popeyes on Upper Parliament Street has submitted an application to Nottingham City Council.
Nottinghamshire Live spoke to these people in the city centre who gave their thoughts. Kevin Smith, 59, who was born and bred in Nottingham, said: “It’s all for the students and they’re the ones using these restaurants. There are not many residents round here so it doesn’t really affect me in terms of noise at night.”Joe, 62, from Nottingham, said: “There’s no diversity in town, it all smells of fat everywhere you go.
