The bright orange Popeyes float was spotted on Argyle Street in Glasgow's city centre offering shoppers the chance to win one of 1000 free chicken sandwiches to celebrate the opening of their new restaurant.
Pedestrians in Glasgow city centre were left stunned by a bright orange Popeyes carnival float yesterday, September 15.
The Mardi Gras experience was lead by Scotland’s national piper, Louise Marshall jamming with New Orleans style brass band The Brass Funkeys on Argyl Street. The colourful surprise comes as the New Orleans' restaurant announced the launch time of its new Barrhead Drive-Thru restaurant as 11am on Monday, September 18.
As part of the celebration shoppers were offered the chance to win one of 1000 free chicken sandwiches as it brought southern hospitality to the city. The restaurant has announced that the first three people in both the drive-thru and dine in queue on opening day will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a year. Additionally, the first 25 vehicles through the drive-thru and the first 25 pedestrians in the dine in queue will also be rewarded with a free Chicken Sandwich and exclusive drive-thru merch.

The Barrhead venue is the 29th to be opened on British soil.
