ROME — Pope Francis has called for “ structural changes ” to address economic disparities and ecological devastation in his annual Message of Peace for January 1, 2025.
All of these taken together, he insists, “represent a threat to the existence of humanity as a whole.” “We will be able to regenerate society and not return to so-called ‘normality,’ which is an ailing normality, indeed which was ailing before the pandemic: the pandemic highlighted it!,” hethat same year, the pope wrote that this “is a moment to dream big, to rethink our priorities — what we value, what we want, what we seek — and to commit to act in our daily life on what we have dreamed of.”
The WEF at Davos welcomed what it saw as the pope’s endorsement of its “Great Reset” program, highlighting the similarities between their visions.titled “Here’s the pope’s prescription for resetting the global economy in response to COVID-19,” the WEF declared that Francis had “put his stamp on efforts to shape what’s been termed a Great Reset of the global economy in response to the devastation of COVID-19.
