Pop Warner has concluded its investigation into a coach accused of using a racial slur directed at another team’s coach.
which occurred at a hotel on Dec. 3 following a 12U quarterfinal game in Orlando between the Hamden Hurricanes and Highlands Ranch Mountain Lions. An assistant coach for the Mountain Lions was accused of hurling racial profanities towards members of the Hurricanes staff after a video emerged of an altercation at the hotel.
A three-person committee reviewed the video and determined that the assistant coach used a different derogatory slur,“The review found that the coach said the other team would have been beat by ‘a bunch of f–king mid–ts’ had the game been officiated differently,” the league said in a statement obtained by TMZ. “He used the word ‘mid–ts’ to describe his own undersized team.”HurricanesEVP Hamden Hurricanes/The suspension took effect Jan. 1, 2023, and will last the entire season.
