A new Poolman trailer is out now, previewing Chris Pine's upcoming directorial debut in the film which is set to premiere next month.
The newest trailer shows off more of the mystery that Pine’s character Darren Barrenman finds himself exploring. Alongside Pine, Poolman also stares Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh, DeWanda Wise, Stephen Tobolowsky, Clancy Brown, John Ortiz and Ray Wise. The project is directed by Pine, from a script co-written by Pine and Ian Gotler.“Getting to make Poolman was a dream,” said Pine in a statement.
“Poolman tells the story of Darren Barrenman , a native Los Angeleno who spends his days looking after the pool of the Tahitian Tiki apartment block and fighting to make his hometown a better place to live,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “When he is tasked by a femme fatale to uncover the truth behind a shady business deal, Darren enlists the help of his friends to take on a corrupt politician and a greedy land developer.
