The Twisted Childhood Universe (TCU) franchise continues to expand with the upcoming crossover film Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble, set for release in 2025. Producer and director Scott Chambers shared an update during an exclusive interview, stating that they are aiming to shoot the film this summer with a potential Halloween 2025 release. If production delays occur, the film may premiere in the first quarter of 2026.
The Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble movie receives a release update from the franchise's producer and director. The Twisted Childhood Universe, which reimagines characters from children's media as murderous villains, began in 2023 with Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, which was followed by the 2024 sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2.
I feel like at the moment where we stand, the time period for this coming out would be like Halloween 2025. But if we miss that, it'll probably be the first quarter of 2026, so it won't be far off it. Posts Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who directed both Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey movies, and Chambers have been committed to improving the quality of future films in the TCU franchise, including Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble. However, early reactions to Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare, which Chambers wrote and directed, have been mixed.
