The Alaska State Troopers welcomed its newest K9 recruit, Sunny, who is a two-year-old golden retriever lab mix trained to sniff out electronic devices.
Sunny was previously a guide dog but showed more potential as an electronic scent detection K9. The nonprofit organization Operation Underground Railroad paid for Sunny and her training so there was no out-of-pocket cost for troopers to enlist her help for statewide investigations.
