Biden’s approval rating is the lowest since he took office, a new poll finds
More than six in 10 voters approved of Biden’s performance in April, an AP-NORC survey found.
More than a third of Americans today believe Covid-19 restrictions in their area have eased “too quickly,” while 27% say they were not lifted quickly enough and four in 10 say leaders have eased restrictions at the right pace. However, the poll found an increased number of Americans are comfortable returning to normal life: just 21% are “very or extremely worried” about a COVID-19 infection in their family, the lowest since the outbreak started.
Only 29% of Americans report “always” avoiding nonessential travel, a drop from 50% in February, while only 33% say they “always” are staying away from large groups, down from 55% in February.For the first 100 days of his presidency, Biden maintained a steady approval rating that was markedly higher than his predecessor.
