Tory grandees have said scrapping the northern leg of HS2 would be 'abandoning' the North as Sky News understands Rishi Sunak is preparing to scrap or delay it by the northern statement. Suella Braverman has offered armed cops her 'full backing' as many stand down after colleague charged.
