They were used for 16 football-related incidents as well as 14 flights to collect aerial imagery and eight fire investigations.Drones were also used during a number of firearms operations, evidence searches and parades.Police said they were deployed on the first two days of June 2022 when climate activists got on the roof of the Thales UK arms factory in Govan. They were also used on July 11 2022, believed to be related to another protest on the same roof.

Police Scotland confirmed devices were also deployed during a Let Women Speak demonstration in Glasgow on February 5 this year.They are flown by specially trained police officers who received Civil Aviation Authority approved training.
