The event unfolded around 8:20 AM in the Friedrichstadt district when witnesses reported a man shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and firing the weapon near the store entrance. Police, including special forces, arrived promptly and engaged the individual after he allegedly failed to comply with commands. Video footage captured officers taking cover behind vehicles and one firing from behind the supermarket corner.
The man was struck, fell to the ground, and was seen with blood pooling around him before receiving first aid and being transported to hospital. He now faces investigations for making threats and violating weapons laws. Authorities confirmed no civilians or officers were injured. The supermarket area was cordoned off, and the public was not considered to be at risk after the incident.
