UPDATE: An armed man was shot and killed by Phoenix police officers in west Phoenix near 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard Sunday night. abc15
Officials say the fire department received a medical call and the police department received a shooting call in the same area.Officers attempted to arrest a man at the scene and he allegedly pulled out a gun from his waistband.
Officials say there was a struggle between the man and officers and that is when the officer-involved shooting began.The woman was taken to the hospital, though her current condition is not known.No officers were shot in this incident.This is the second police-involved shooting in two days. On Saturday, police shot at an alleged shoplifter near 35th and Southern avenues who pointed a gun at an employee and police officer. That man was not injured.
