Elizabeth police shot and killed two pit bulls after the dogs attacked three people on Tuesday morning, authorities said Police were called to the 300 block of Amity Street around 7:40 a.m. after receiving a report that pit bulls were fighting in a yard, an Elizabeth spokeswoman said. Three adults were taken to a local hospital to be treated for hand injuries. A teenage boy was not injured, but also went to a hospital to be checked.
