Michigan State Police are investigating the 23-year-old's death, believed to be an overdose or suicide.
pediatrician in connection with the drug overdose death of his 23-year-old daughter and an investigation into his medical license, officials confirmed Thursday.and Dr. Joel Dinverno’s license, according to Lt. Tedric Gibbs with the Michigan State Police.
Sophia Dinverno’s death was initially reported as a possible overdose or suicide, though the cause and manner of her death are still under investigation, according to police. On Jan. 20, a few days after Sophia Dinverno died, the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs opened an investigation into Dinverno’s medical license, records show.
