After a failed carjacking in Lower Township, two armed men stole a vehicle at gunpoint in Middle Township on Thursday, authorities said.
Police are searching for two armed men accused of a carjacking and attempted carjacking in two Cape May County towns within an hour on Thursday afternoon while using a vehicle stolen at gunpoint in Pennsylvania as the getaway car.
Less than an hour later, the same men approached a gray 2018 Dodge Durango with a man sitting inside at the 2900 block of Route 9 in the Edgewood section of Middle Township. The driver told police one of the men pointed a handgun at him and demanded the keys, which he turned over, authorities said.
