Police in Maine are asking for help identifying a person of interest in connection with an attack on two teen sisters earlier this week.

Wind Advisory for Yates through Midnight.Police are asking for help identifying a person of interest in connection with an attack on two teen sisters in Auburn, Maine earlier this week. According to police, a male and female drove up to the two sisters, got out of the vehicle, and attacked a 17-year-old.

During the fight, police said a 16-year-old stabbed the male with a pocketknife to protect her sister and she was shot in the leg in the process. The 16-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, along with her 17-year-old sister, who suffered minor injuries.“Detectives have determined that the parties involved had met earlier that night at a party,” the Auburn Police Department said in a statement.
