Maine State Police says it is responding to an active shooter situation in Lewiston.
Police are asking residents to stay home with their doors locked.The Lewiston Police Department says the two locations are Schemengees Bar and Grille and Sparetime Recreation.Governor Janet Mills has issued a statement about the shooting situation.
“I am aware of and have been briefed on the active shooter situation in Lewiston. I urge all people in the area to follow the direction of State and local enforcement. I will to continue to monitor the situation and remain in close contact with public safety officials.”
