Police have received some 100,000 applications for interstate travel via the "Gerak Malaysia" App in just 12 hours, according to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed.He said the 100,000 interstate travel applications by primarily from those stranded in their hometowns and could not return to their place of residence during the movement control order .

Huzir also advised people to cooperate by applying to obtain travel permit according to the prescribed valid reasons.Today, Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob was quoted as saying that the date of travel for those in their home towns back to their place of residence and work will not start on May 1 as initially announced by police.
