MELAKA, April 17 — An estimated 81,550 vehicles are set to hit the roads in Melaka during the first two days of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, said state police chief Datuk Zainol Samah.
“A total of 22 officers and 137 personnel will be on duty to ensure smooth traffic flow in Melaka and police will also increase patrols, monitoring and inspections at accident hotspots,” he told reporters during a media conference after breaking fast with department heads, district police chiefs and media personnel.
The areas in Melaka Tengah are Lebuh AMJ , Jalan Umbai-Sungai Udang, Jalan Mufti Haji Khalil, Jalan Sungai Udang-Selandar and Batang Tiga/Bukit Rambai/Tanjung Minyak.
