No police officers were injured in the shooting,but one man was hospitalized with an apparent gunshot wound.
Chicago police shot and wounded a man Saturday evening in the city’s South Shore neighborhood.
No police officers were injured in the shooting, police spokesman Tom Ahern said. The shooting took place at the 2400 block of East 72nd Street just before 7 p.m.Paramedics took the wounded man to University of Chicago Hospital, a Chicago Fire Department spokesperson said. The man’s condition stabilized, said the spokesperson who was unable to otherwise describe how the man was injured.
