A police officer in Montgomery County, Md., is in critical condition after being struck on Interstate 270 while trying to stop a suspected impaired driver.
A Montgomery County police officer was critically injured Wednesday morning while trying to stop a suspected impaired driver on Interstate 270, officials in the Maryland county said.
Sgt. Patrick Kepp, who had gotten out of his patrol car to deploy tire-deflating “stop sticks,” was struck, police said.
