An arbitrator has overturned the firing of a New Braunfels police officer who was terminated after department officials said he violated standards of conduct and body camera policies. Officer Ruben Coronado will be reinstated to the police force on November 20th, according to a ruling by arbitrator and hearing examiner Ruben Almendariz. Almendariz ruled that while Coronado likely overstepped his authority during a 2023 incident with a homeowner, his actions were not 'so severe to warrant the issuance of an indefinite suspension.'
