Police are on the hunt for a registered sex offender last seen carrying two plastic bags after he breached the terms of his licence.

The 36-year-old offender - who also uses the name Paul Aver - has links to the south and west areas of Lancashire, as well as Durham in the north east. A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: "Aver, aged 36, is a registered sex offender who is wanted on recall to prison after breaching the conditions of his licence. He had been in prison for failing to comply with his sex offender notification requirements, after being convicted of sexual activity with a male child.
