Police release statement after a huge presence of officers was reported

in a town. Derbyshire Police confirmed shortly before 10:15am today that they were attending multiple locations in Long Eaton, but did not specify which areas these were.

A pre-planned warrant was carried out by officers this morning, and officers will remain in the area throughout the day whilst they continue their investigation. Residents in the area had seen multiple police cars, as well as ambulances and drones this morning. Many have taken to social media to share what they have seen, with some posts suggesting several emergency service vehicles attended Trafalgar Square, off Main Street. A spokesman for Derbyshire police said: "Officers have carried out a pre-planned warrant at an address in Long Eaton this morning.

"Officers will remain in the area throughout the day as enquiries continue. There is no wider risk to the public."
