Officers say the man could have 'vital information'
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to after a hammer-wielding burglar targeted a north Manchester home. Greater Manchester Police says the victim was inside the property while the offender struck in broad daylight.
Officers received reports of an aggravated burglary on Amesbury Road, in Blackley, between 11.30am and 11.55am on Saturday, August 26. Police attended the scene where the suspect made off, having stolen a mobile phone. GMP has released the CCTV image today as part of an appeal for help, with the man pictured believed to have 'vital information'. Anyone who recognises the man is urged to come forward.A spokesperson for GMP added: "Initial enquiries suggested that the suspect entered the property during broad daylight with the use of a claw hammer while the victim was in the property. The suspect then stole the mobile phone and made off from the scene.
"Officers would like to speak to this man as officers believe he could have vital information that would assist with our enquiries.
