The graffiti appeared on a property in the Belfast Road area

The racist graffit was spray painted on a property in the Belfast Road area of the city sometime between 11pm on Monday, April 29 and 8.30pm on Tuesday, April 30.

Police also received a second report of racist graffiti on the side of a property in the Clanmorris Avenue area.Inspector Hutchinson said: “A report was received that racist graffiti been sprayed on the side of a property in the Belfast Road area sometime between 11pm on Monday 29th April, and 8.30pm yesterday, Tuesday 30th April.

“A second report was also received yesterday, Tuesday, that racist graffiti had been sprayed on another house in the Clanmorris Avenue area of the town. “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing for anyone with any information about these incidents – which we are treating as racially motivated hate crimes at this stage – to get in touch with officers."A report can also be made online via our non-emergency reporting form via http://www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/, or you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
