Hobbs Police Department in New Mexico said it is investigating the death of a baby found in a bathroom of a patient room in Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital on Wednesday
In May, 19-year-old Alexee Trevizo was charged with first-degree murder and tampering with evidence related to the January death of her infant son.Police claimed Trevizo had gone to the emergency room in late January for back pain, but then locked herself in the bathroom where she gave birth to a baby boy, AP reported.
However, Trevizo’s attorney Gary C. Mitchell, maintained, per AP, that there were “discrepancies” with what had happened in the hospital and said that the case wasn’t just “classic child abuse.”
