Police investigating 'suspicious' death after man's body found on side of El Cajon road [Breaking]
El Cajon police are investigating a suspicious death after finding the body of a man on the side of the road near Parkway Plaza on Wednesday morning, a police spokesperson said.
The body was discovered shortly after 6:50 a.m. on Fletcher Parkway near Pioneer Way, across the street from the shopping center, said police Lt. Jeremiah Larson. Officers said the body did not appear to show signs of being struck by a vehicle. No other details about the death were released.Initially all lanes of the road were closed. By 9:30 a.m., two of the lanes were open, with traffic moving slowly through the area.
Police are working in the area of 500 Fletcher Parkway. Westbound lanes are closed. Please use an alternate way of travel. Updates will be provided.
