One witness who was participating in a soccer game at the athletic complex told 2News that players were running off of the field while others were laying on the ground for cover as the second round of gunshots were being heard.
Officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department told 2News that witnesses heard the initial set of shots fired around the Rose Park area outside of the athletic center shortly before 9:30 p.m. Thursday night. Moments later, police said a second round of gunshots was reported.
