A 36-year-old Bridgeton man was shot and killed Saturday morning

Authorities said officers were called about 3 a.m. to Maple Gardens, an apartment complex off South East Avenue, after reports of fighting and gunfire. Officers located the victim, Herbert R. Lee, who was pronounced dead at Inspira Hospital in Bridgeton shortly after being taken there. Bridgeton police say that Ryan A. Askins is wanted on murder and weapons charges in the shooting death of Herbert R. Lee. He is considered armed and dangerous, police said.
