The woman died after suffering a “serious head injury” on High Street Street just north of state Route 94 on Thursday, La Mesa police said
Homicide detectives are investigating after a 62-year-old homeless woman was attacked and killed at her La Mesa encampment Thursday, police said.
Detectives suspect the woman had been attacked at the campsite within hours before she was discovered, Gaytan said. No calls reporting a disturbance in the area had been made leading up to her death.
