Emergency services were called to The Esplanade at Torquay, near Hervey Bay, on Friday night following reports of an assault.Crews found an unresponsive 75-year-old with serious injuries. They tried to revive the man but he was declared dead at the scene. Police, who established a crime scene, asked anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or may have relevant dashcam or CCTV footage to report it to Crime Stoppers.
