Bellevue police are bringing attention to sexual misconduct allegations involving minors at a judo gym after receiving a report from a concerned parent.

The Bellevue Police Department is bringing attention to sexual misconduct allegations involving minors at a gym after receiving a report from a concerned parent.it received an initial report on Feb. 23, 2024, and initiated an investigation into the incident. The investigation happened over the following weeks after the report was received.
Several alleged disturbing interactions between a 13-year-old suspect and a 9-year-old child, both of whom attended the Phoenix Gym for Judo training, were revealed during the investigation, the BPD said. Police are withholding the names of those involved since they are minors.
